Welcome to EKA, Sri Lanka

EKA Beach is a collection of high quality, affordable, boutique bed and breakfast pavilions sitting on a palm fringed golden beach looking outward to the surrounding glistening sea. It has stunning views to Rhumassala Headland in the distance and an endless series of arced beaches in both directions. It is a true tropical island paradise - swaying palm trees, white sands, renowned sunsets topped off with frolicking turtles and cool sea breezes.

In addition, we are only 10 minutes from the Expressway off ramp at Galle and less than 15 minutes from Galle Fort.

Our facilities and the quality of our rooms are akin to that of a villa.

Our staff are friendly, well trained and keen to make your stay memorable.

Our breakfasts are also memorable and reflect the sumptuous offerings of this island paradise.

In a few minutes you can leave EKA and travel to Galle Fort which is an outstanding example of a 16th century UNESCO World Heritage site. The stone fort was originally built by the Portuguese, rebuilt by the Dutch and successively added to by the British. It is a great place to explore with its narrow, flower filled streets crammed with antique shops, arts and crafts boutiques, homewares, stunning jewellery stores, cafes and restaurants.

Nearby, the coast in both directions and the hinterland of EKA also offers exciting destination choices. Head south to Weligama to see the hand painted fishing boats, turtle hatchery, roadside fish market and amazing stilt fishermen. Explore the inland with its many Buddhist temples, including Yatagala which is at least 2,000 years old and lies hidden amongst a granite boulder outcrop above the rice paddies. Visit a coastal tea or cinnamon plantation and luxuriate with a decadent lunch overlooking the local winding river.

EKA also makes an excellent base if you are interested in: the Galle Literary Festival; Galle Cricket Series; visits to Geoffrey Bawa Gardens and other famous gardens; a Sri Lankan cooking experience; the myriad of water sports available including scuba diving, kayaking, snorkelling, swimming or surfing; trips to the nearby Sinharaja Rainforest (also a UNESCO world heritage site) or seeking the wonderful herds of elephants which roam freely in Uda Walawe National Park.

You can experience all that Sri Lanka has to offer from EKA. Make it your base and have one of the best holidays of your life.

EKA is unique, not only in its location but for the wonderful offerings provided by the sea- its white arced beach, sunsets, surf and sea life including a large turtle population. You can chill with our drinks and food, jog along the beach, sunbathe, read quietly in the shade or dip in the surf.
